Beanie Bowler Information:
|
Beanie Bowlers was organized in 1981 by John Haufe and Fred Klim. Since then we
meet weekly for great comradeship, friendly competition and bantering and some so-so
bowling. Each week the bowler with the most pathetic score is awarded the Beans
Trophy. Click here for a brief history of the
Beanie Bowlers Trophy

Clarence Shultheis
We have lost a great friend and bowler. Clarence passed away on Christmas Day.
We remember his humor and perseverance in spite of his failing eyesight. We send
out our condolences to his wife Mary Lou. Family will greet friends from
1:00-3:00pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Christ United Methodist Church,
3440 Shroyer Road, Kettering, OH 45429. A Memorial Service will be held
following the visitation at 3:00pm at the church.
The 2011-2012 Season is well underway
We did have some startup problems this year with the computer and software, but it is all
under control now. Thanks to John Schneider for going through the records and
cleaning up the early season boo-boos.

This Week's BEANS
These guys can still flat out bowl! In the first game, the high game was 270 by Lee Pond. In the second, 289 by Bob Sauer, who started with 8 straight strikes. In the third gae Jerry ferris rolled a smoking 260. The team high game was 876, because a team can't win the high series and the high game. But, the team of Bellanca, Beardmore, Ferris and Keyes had games of 953, and 915! The Beans also went at a relatively high number. Glenn "Barney" Barnhouse rolled a 147 in the first game. Many of us predicted that wouldn't hold up, but the beans in the second ant third games went at 152, and 156. Great bowling guys!
